Description

GRACE is a 58.52-metre motor yacht built by Australian Yacht Builders in 1991 and most recently refitted in 2024. Formerly known as FAM, she accommodates fourteen guests across six cabins with a crew of twelve, and is available for charter in the Mediterranean from her base in Greece. She is one of the few yachts of her size offering full wheelchair access to every deck, including the sun deck, by elevator.

Design and Construction

Her exterior lines are by Glade Johnson, with interiors by Paola D. Smith & Associates. Hull and superstructure are aluminium, built on a semi-displacement form that gives her a comfortable motion at sea and a top speed beyond what a full-displacement yacht of comparable volume would deliver. At 499 gross tonnes and just under 200 feet overall, she carries the interior volume of a much later build.

Layout and Accommodation

Guests are accommodated in six cabins: a full-beam master suite with separate his-and-hers bathrooms, four double cabins and one twin, with a convertible arrangement allowing for fourteen. Wide doorways and through-hull access on both port and starboard serve the elevator, which connects every level of the yacht. Interior spaces include a dedicated library, a gym and a formal dining area, with the sun deck given over to a pool and jacuzzi.

Cruising Ground

GRACE is based in Greece and cruises the Mediterranean through the summer season, with winter itineraries available on request. Twin MTU engines give her a cruising speed of 12 knots and a maximum of 17.5, and her 4,000-nautical-mile range allows for extended itineraries across the Aegean, the Ionian and the wider Mediterranean without refuelling.

Life on Board

She carries a Chris Craft tender, two jet skis, waterskis, surfboards, bicycles, and snorkelling and scuba equipment, alongside a waterslide from the upper deck. Wi-Fi and air conditioning run throughout. Her crew of twelve is proportioned to a guest count of fourteen, which keeps service unobtrusive.
